Grilled Bass Cakes Recipe

Chef Bubba Conner shows you a great grilled bass cakes recipe made just like you would crab cakes


Marinate 1 lb Bass fillets in oil, vinegar, salt and pepper and grill it on your indoor or outdoor grill.

Once the fish is cooked we will proceed just like crab cakes.

Combine the following ingredients into your mixing bowl: Ritz Crackers Crushed, Panko Bread Crumbs, Salt, Pepper, Chopped Parsley,  Diced Green Onions, Lemon Juice, Worcestershire, Egg Yolks and Cup Mayonnaise.

After the ingredients are mixed together break up your cooked fish in chunks. Lightly stir up the ingredients.

Add just a little oil into a heated skillet. Use an ice cream scoop to measure out your cakes on a plate.

Sauteed your cakes in the skillet just enough to brown each side, Pat them down a little to flatten them out in the skillet.

Then bake them in a 350 degree oven for 5 – 15 minuted depending on how thin they are. Make sure they are cooked throughout.

Garnish the cakes with tomatoes and greens. Serve as an appetizer, entree or make sandwiches. serve.

Ingredients to make 6 – 8 Bass Cakes:

1 lb Bass

1/2 Cup Ritz Crackers Crushed
1/2 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
1 tsp Salt or to taste
1 tsp Pepper  or to taste
1/4 Cup Chopped Parsley
1/4 Cup Diced Green Onions
2 tbs Lemon Juice
1 tbs Worcestershire
2 Egg Yolks
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
